MACHINE STRUCTURE

The bed and the column are built in a single cast iron casting with oversized ribs capable of withstanding the heaviest stress, designed and optimized by means of finite element analysis (FEM), to achieve maximum stability and guarantee a high level of finish on any work material. 

On the bed take place the linear guides for the transversal movement of the table base (Y axis) and, above the latter, the guides for the table (X axis). The table is a T-slot table, with longitudinal slots for fixing the workpieces or equipment. Both the surface of the table and the slots are ground. The linear guides for the vertical spindle movement are obtained on the column (Z axis).

The geometry of the bed is made to favour both the evacuation of the chips and the accessibility to the machine by the operator. 


ROLLER-TYPE LINEAR GUIDES

The three main movements of the machine (X, Y, Z) are all on roller-type linear guides in steel of best brands. An efficient timed automatic lubrication system guarantees constant lubrication on all contact surfaces. The dimensions of the guides are such as to make the specific pressure low even under heavy loads and work stresses.

SPINDLE

It has a monolithic cast iron “thermally symmetrical” structure, with an efficient cooling system with external refrigeration unit that keeps the temperature constant, to avoid the effects of any thermal excursions.

The transmission takes place through direct drive spindle.

Standard rotation speeds are 10.000-15.000-24.000 rpm, with ceramic bearings for the last 2 options.

The standard spindle taper is a BT-30 and dual contact big plus BBT-30 is available.

TURRET TYPE TOOL CHANGE

The automatic tool changing system consists of a turret type magazine tool applied on the machine column. The standard capacity is 14 position, 21 as an optional.

This type of tool change is the best solution to change the tool quickly, without the aid of an exchanger arm but only using the movement of the spindle along its axis; it takes only 1.08 s (Tool to Tool) and 1,36 s (Chip to Chip).

TOOL REFRIGERATION SYSTEM

Composed of a capacious coolant tank, pump and pipes for cooling the spindle and cleaning the work area of the machine. Upon request, the system is equipped with additional high-pressure pumps for the passage of coolant through spindle, from 20 to 70 bar, and systems for the separation of used lubrification oil in the tank, to avoid the contamination of the coolant.

ELECTRONIC-ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

The system, integrated with the CNC of the machine, is complete with a watertight cabinet. All commands, as well as the control unit, are placed in the front part, while the electrical cabinet is placed in the rear of the machine. 

An air conditioner is also available to favour lifelong protection of the electronic components of the cabinet.

AUTOMATIC LUBRIFICATION SYSTEM

It includes the lubrication control unit, equipped with a timer and a series of dispensers an pressure switch for the automatic lubrication of linear guides, ball screws and bearings. An acoustic signal warns if the level has reached the minimum allowed, while continuing to lubricate. The base structure was made for the recovery of most of the used oil in a special tank.

PNEUMATIC SYSTEM

Complete with filter group, pressure regulator, lubricator, solenoid valves. It feeds the cleaning device of the tool shank, preventing against the entry of foreign bodies into the spindle itself, the air gun and all applications that may require pressurized air, such as fixtures.
